JOHN JURIC
About the artist
John Juric was born on April 20, 1973 in Zurich, Switzerland. He is of Yugoslav and Costa Rican descent and came to Costa Rica at 3 years old to resided since then. His knowledge is not exclusively in the fine arts, he has an interdisciplinary training that includes studies in Industrial Engineering at the International University of the Americas, Advertising Design and Internal Space Design at Veritas University in Costa Rica.
In 2007 John joins the "Contemporary Art and Painting Workshop" with Joaquín Rodríguez del Paso with whom he establishes a strong friendship and co founded LAARCO (Laboratory of Contemporary Arts) in 2012. Which is still in force and promotes the education and training of future artists.

WorkJohn's work reaffirms that personal search has collective repercussions, finding in art the paths of innovation, aesthetics, experimentation or grandeur that arises from this insatiable hunger that is the artistic search for the right medium for the right work. . For John, art is not an end in itself but a means of self-exploration that goes beyond materiality, they are processes and records that involve the viewer in a more intimate relationship with his work.
